Tie Sleeve Top

| Top: Project Social (under $30) | Shorts: Sun & Shadow | Sandals: Dizzy (under $15) | Handbag: Louis Vuitton | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Bracelets: Love's Affect | Earrings: Red Dress Boutique |

Happy Friday! With the way that my schedule has been lately, I don't even realize what day of the week it is most of the time. But, when I discover it's Friday, it's always a good surprise!

This tie shoulder top is so super comfy. Seriously, its the comfiest shirt that I own. And these shorts have easily become my new favorites. I am all about some distressed denim shorts and good ones are so hard to find!!

On another note, there are so many great sales happening right now. I have been searching for the perfect light gray bag and I've finally found the one!!! And to top it off, it's 40% off!!!

The Perfect Jumper

Jumper: Loft | Hat: Brixton | Sandals: Old, similar | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Earrings: BaubleBar

Ya'll! I am in LOVE with this jumper!!! Like, as soon as I saw it, I went to three different Loft stores to find it! Its super cute, comfy, and affordable.

I also love love love this hat! I got it last year and wore it all summer. Its great for a cute casual outfit like this one, to throw on when running errands, and matched with a cute bikini for a beach day.

Yes, I am aware that I am still really pale! Hoping my life will slow down a little after next week and that I can find time to lay out and get some sun!

I'm also in the process of getting some furniture for the new house. I'm having a hard time finding a sectional couch that I love. I would love any suggestions you may have on a place to purchase one!

Comfy & Casual

| Top: Topshop | Pants: Old, similar | Sandals: Tory Burch | Handbag: Louis Vuitton | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Monogram: Love Always |

Well, its Monday again! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I spent yet another one studying, but I also did a lot of soul searching. There's one thing that I've pondered lately.... why is it that when everything in life seems to be going perfect, we let one small thing ruin it all? Let me elaborate.... I personally have been in a funk. Yes you hear that right, a funk. But why?? That's a great question.... everything in life is going great. But, there's that one little thing that isn't going my way right now and it has me in a complete funk. Its CRAZY!! Why do we let the one thing we don't have affect how we feel about all the things we do have?

Now on to the outfit.... Lately, I am all about comfy! To be honest, I would be in workout clothes 95% of the time, if it were acceptable. I found these pants at a local boutique earlier this year and boy are they comfy! I found a similar pair, and they are under $25! I love this tank, I wear it all the time! Its my go to for almost any type of occasion.

Perfect Top Under $50

| Top: Bp | Pants: Articles of Society | Mules: Local Boutique, similar | Handbag: Gucci | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Bracelets: Love's Affect |

It's FINALLY Friday!!! I was starting to wonder if it was ever going to come! So, how cute is this top?!? And.... it's only $45! When it comes to off the shoulder tops, I am very picky! But, I love this one. I love that it actually stays off my shoulder and it doesn't try to ride up every time I lift my arm. Not to mention,  it is super soft! I also finally jumped on the mule band wagon. I got these from a local boutique but linked a pair that I just ordered!

In other news, I'm planning to do some furniture shopping this weekend. I would love any suggestions you have on places that you have had great experiences with! I also went by the container store yesterday and designed my new closet. Yes, I am FINALLY getting my dream closet. I can not wait until it is completed. Dreams are finally coming true. Its amazing what can be accomplished when you work hard and have a great support system.

Cactus Romper

| Romper: Everly (Local Boutique) | Sandals: Steve Madden | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Earrings: Baublebar |

But seriously, how stinkin' cute is this romper? I got it at a local boutique, but the brand is Everly. Maybe you will get lucky and will find one at one of your local boutiques, but until then, I will keep searching online and will let you know if I find it. Second, THESE sandals are my new favorite. Like really, I catch myself wearing them several times a week. I can't get enough of them and I found them online at a discount, see the link above!

So, I'm spending the entire week cramming for a CPA exam and it is exhausting. Blogging has actually become my free time this week. I look forward to the time I get to take a break and work on the weekly posts. I'm also working on it getting stuff set up for my new house! I seriously can't wait to move in. SO many things to do but know that it will all be worth it once everything is completed. I know a sweet little puppy named Jax who is going to be super excited to have a yard to play in.

Why I Started Blogging

| Top: Socialite | Shorts: Sun & Shadow | Clutch: old, similar (ordering) | Sandals: Dizzy (Under $15!) | Earrings: Baublebar |

Blog..... by definition it means "a website containing a writer's or group of writers' own experiences, observations, opinions, etc., and often having images and links to other websites." To me, blogging is so much more. Blogging is a passion, an outlet, something that I absolutely love. It's not about making money, its not about being recognized, its not about how many likes I get on an Instagram picture..... its about letting me be me in a way that I feel comfortable and sharing my life with the world. Sure, there are critics, but hey, you can't please everyone.

Blogging has been one of the greatest adventures of my life thus far. It has brought me great friendships, much happiness, and a few great pieces of clothing ;)  When I first started my blog, it was simply a place to share some of my favorite outfits, makeup products, and the occasional great piece of decor. Now (after a Sex in the City binge), I think it's time to open up a little more. Share more thoughts subjects other than just fashion. It's important to show all aspect of ones life, not just the glamorous parts! So hang tight, we are taking this thing to a whole new level!

Soooooo now about the outfit. First off, yes, I am SUPER pale. Now that my semester is over, I plan to spend more time in the sun.  But, how cute is this top??  Comfy, and under $40! It also comes in an adorable pale pink color. And, this shorts are my new fav! I have had the hardest time finding distressed denim shorts that I love. Before I found these, the only ones I could find were either; too expensive, too short, or just not my style. I was so happy when I finally found these! Lastly, THESE sandals.... OMG!!! The perfect Valentino dupe and so so cheap (less than $15).

Peplum Perfection

| Top: BP | Jeans: Articles of Society (obsessed, where them all the time!) | Heels: Steve Madden | Handbag: Chloe (similar, and love!) | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Earrings: BaubleBar | Bracelets: Loves Affect |

Happy Friday! I don't know about you all but I am super excited that it's the weekend! So.... today was supposed to be the first segment of 'Fitness Friday,' but my photoshop is having some technical difficulties and I was not able to finish some things, so, that will begin next Friday. Instead, I decided to share this fun little peplum top with you.

When I first stumbled upon this top, I hesitated, and immediately regretted it because it sold out. Let me tell you, I monitored the Nordstrom website almost daily (yes, I have a problem) and grabbed it the second my size came back in stock. Luckily for you all, its in stock in almost all sizes right now!

Quick life update: I have finals this week and next and then a CPA exam on the 22nd. This is one of those instances where I hope time flies by. I am so ready to have a social life again. And, I am dedicated to doing 2-3 blog posts during those weeks regardless of how busy I get! Can't wait to share several cool new posts with you guys!! Hope you have a fabulous weekend!!

Rompers & Grub

| Romper: Local Boutique, (similarsimilarsimilar) | Sandals: Tory Burch | Handbag: Gucci |

For some reason every time Wednesday rolls around, I feel a little bit of accomplishment. I guess, I tell myself that I have survived half of the work week and that Friday is just around the corner. So, before I jump into my food obsessed part of my post, I wanted to share a little about this outfit. I SEARCHED and SEARCHED for this romper online and after almost an hour of looking, I decided it was time to throw in the towel. Luckily, I found some that are similar and have several linked above. I may or may not have just purchased this one. One other disclaimer: please excuse the extremely pale skin, I do plan to do some laying by the pool over the weekend!

Now, I wanted to do a little something different today. Normally, I just talk about my outfits and whats going on in my life and blah blah blah. Well, I've decided that's a little boring to do for every single post. So, I've decided to change things up a little. At least once a week I plan to do some sort of post where I talk about random stuff, while also sharing an outfit that I'm currently obsessed with. I also will be starting a segment on fitness that will go live every Friday (stay tuned, will start this week)! So here we go:

5 Favorite Southpark Restaurants:

So when I initially planned this post I wanted to do 5 Charlotte restaurants, but, I decided that I probably could not narrow it down that much so I decided to do the Southpark area (where I live), since those are the ones I frequent the most.

1. Burton's Grill ($$$)

I first visited this restaurant a few months ago when attending a girls night with a few of my close girlfriends. It was the first time for several of us and we were all blown away at how good it was. When I think of the genre it should go under, I would classify it as fine dining/date night kind of place. It has a very relaxed and cozy atmosphere and the food is AMAZING. Literally everything I have ever had there is superb. If you have never been there, you need to go! Also, try the cauliflower appetizer. It may sound odd, but it is SOOOO good!!

2. Village Tavern ($$$)

I remember walking into this place for the first time completely mortified because I had been helping a friend move all day and I was it very slouchy clothes and looked a hot mess, and this is definitely a place you should try and look nice for. Now, I don't mean you need to wear your Sunday best, but you definitely shouldn't walk in there in shorts and t-shirt that has paint stains on it, whoops! But, I go to this place at least once a month. The food is amazing, I've never had anything I didn't love. They have really great burgers, steak, flatbreads.... I mean it really all is good! And, they are always having drink specials, I mean, who doesn't want a drink or two with their meal?!?

3. Duckworth's ($$)

Now, I have been a Duckworth's lover for a very long time. They have one in my hometown of Mooresville, and it is one of my dad and I's favorite spots. Its a sports bar type restaurant with lots of tv's so you can keep up with all of the sports games happening and SOOOO many on tap beer options! When I think of sports bar I think, ah just going for the booze, probably just average food. Not the case for this place, the have the BEST salmon I have ever had in my entire life. I seriously have cravings for it more often than I should admit.

4. Cowfish ($$)

When I first heard of this place, I knew it would immediately become one of my favorite. They specialize in what they call 'Burgushi' (burgers & sushi), now the name makes sense ;). I love love love sushi but I am also very picky about it. But I have tried various different ones on their menu, and they are all super yummy. My favorite thing to get here is their 'Bento box', it comes with a mini burger, roll of sushi, sweet potato fries, edamame, and a cucumber/onion salad. Seriously they should call it a Chloe box because it has all of my favorite things. I even chose to go there for my birthday last year.

5. Yafo ($)

I recently discovered this place about a month ago after completing my most recent Spartan race. Now after the first time, I didn't know if I loved it so much because of how hungry I was or if it was really that good, so I went again a few days later. Yes, it is really that good. It is Mediterranean food that is served down a assembly line. They have amazing wraps (they make the pitas fresh in front of you), and ALL of there sides are so good!! Like I literally have to contemplate for a long time which one to choose each time. My favs are the brussels sprouts and macaroni and cheese.
