Teal Touches

| Sweater: Free People | Shorts: Shorts | Sandals: Jack Rogers | Handbag: Gucci | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Watch: Michele | Bracelets: David Yurman |

Happy Wednesday everyone! Another windy day look coming to you today. Please try not to be distracted by my extremely pale skin, I know it's a little blinding ;) I love love love a good comfy sweater, even when the weather starts to get warmer. This sweater is one of my favorites and the color is perfect!! Not to mention... its 40%!!!

The countdown to the end of the semester is happening, less than a month until its over!! Can it be July already so I can be completely done??? It can't come soon enough!! What did you all do for Easter weekend? I took a trip to Mooresville to spend some time with my family. It was great to spend time with my extended family whom I don't get to see very often.

Now, on to something a little more personal. What the heck has happened to men of my generation? Is chivalry still a thing? Punctuality? Keeping your word? I don't like to talk about my personal life very often (I'm working on it) but it's something that has really been on my mind. I reconnected with someone that I briefly knew from high school. We talked for a few weeks and three separate times we were supposed to meet up for dinner. (Yes, I can't believe I even gave three chances) Every single time, there was a last minute excuse or he would go MIA. I mean, if you don't want to go out, fine, but at least have the courtesy to man up and say so. I mean really, are guys just living in a dream world. It completely baffles me. I could go on and on for days about all of the crappy experiences I've had with men in the last year but this just happened to be the most recent. Are there any good ones left out there?? I'm starting to think not. But hey, I have a sweet puppy who loves me, a great job, about to have a master's degree, and I just bought a house. Obviously we as women don't need a guy to be successful. Don't even get me started on that one. Thank you for letting me rant!

It's finally Friday!! Boy am I glad that its finally the weekend. What a week! As the graduate school saga continues, I'm in the final countdown. Only a few more weeks left in the semester! Praise!

When it comes to summer and spring wear, I only tend to think of tanks, shorts, and flip flops. But what about those super windy days? This sweater is the perfect solution. Its comfy and warm but airy at the same time. Not to mention the color is great!! It's a must have!

Sorry for the short post today, homework is calling my name!! I have some great posts planned for next week and I look forward to sharing them with you guys!

Life Update:

Only three more weeks + exams left in the semester. On Monday, I signed up for my last set of classes and will be completely finished with graduate school at the end of July. Seriously cannot wait!! This has been one of the greatest challenges of my life.

I close on my house a month from today!! I still can't believe its actually happening. So much to do and so much to get before the time comes. I've only ever lived in a one bedroom apartment so getting furniture for a three bedroom home is going to be quite the chore but I am so excited to finally have a house to decorate.

My sweet pup is turning 5 months on Thursday and weighs over 40 lbs! I can't believe how big he has gotten already! Time needs to slow down. He has developed quite the little personality. He's sweet and kind but definitely likes to talk back when mommy says no. He loves everyone and has such a playful spirit. I can't wait to see what this new house adventure has in store for us.

Thank you all for stopping by!

Shein Pink Ruffle Top

| Top: Shein | Jeans: Citizens of Humanity | Wedges: Steve Madden | Handbag: Old, Currently Craving | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Bracelet: Julie Vos | Ring: David Yurman | Necklace: Fashion & Compassion |

So, this weekend I participated in another Spartan race.... some how I forget how messy they can be. Luckily its a small one so it was not near as bad as some of the ones I've done in the past but boy was it was crazy muddy! During the race I tend to complain and wonder why the heck I decided to do another race, but now a day later, I'm already ready to sign up for another one!

So I got this top, and I was immediately in love! I am all about some ruffles, but add in the fact that its off the shoulder and pink and it doesn't get much better than that. AND to top it all off, its ONLY $16!!!! I mean really, you can't beat that!! I've been trying to budget and be good about loading up on clothes, but when I went to this site, I couldn't help but want everything! All of their stuff is cute, comfy, and affordable! If you are like me and have a small budget for clothes this spring and summer, then you definitely need to check them out!

Also, can you say crazy hair?? The weather was so crazy this past week in Charlotte. It was sunny one day then rainy the next and then super windy the next. Well, we had photos on a windy day, but we stuck it out and got it done. But, I just wanted to point that out so that there was an explanation for why my hair is so crazy in some of the pictures!

Glowing Essence

Hey everyone!! Sorry to be MIA once again but life has just been so hectic. Between school, pup, and getting house stuff together, I have barely even had time to sleep! This week, two of my classes were canceled so I finally had some time to catch up on life.

I don't know about you guys but I have the hardest time finding skincare products that I love. I have naturally dry skin, a small case of rosacea, and really sensitive skin. With all of those things combined, its hard to find something that not only works! I can usually find something that really helps with the dry skin but it normally worsens my rosacea.

When Glowing Essence reached out to me about their complete serum, I was skeptical at first. But, I really love it!! I've been using it for about a week now and so far so good! It really helps with the dryness and adds a glow to my skin. On top of that, I haven't seen any increase in my rosacea. I think my favorite part about it is that I can put it over top of my makeup and it does not mess it up. Because my skin is dry, I typically have to reapply lotion at least once throughout the day and sometimes twice, so it's great to have a product that I can apply over makeup that will both do the job and not affect my makeup.

So, would I recommend the product? Yes, I would! It's very inexpensive ($108) for a high quality skin care product and has really done great things for my skin in the short amount of time I have been using it! ANDDDD you can get 20% off your first order using the code "FIRSTORDER" at check out. Just use this link!

Summer + Utility Vest

| Top: Target | Vest: Nordstrom | Shorts: old, similar | Sandals: Sam Edelman | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban   | Handbag: Louis Vuitton | Earrings: Moon & Lola | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: Loren Hope      | Ring: David Yurman |

Hi guys!! I know its been a long time since I've posted, life has just gotten the best of me this past week. Between school and CPA exams, I can't seem to catch a break! A lot of things have happened since my last post. I got my sweet Jax back this past weekend and OMG he is like a completely different dog! He listens, walks right beside me (instead of trying to drag me) when on the leash, he's calm, and just all together well behaved. They really did some miracle working during those three weeks.

In other exciting news, I bought a house!!! It all happened so quickly that I still can't believe that it's real. I have been on the search for the perfect one for a long time and I finally found it. Its a townhouse, just a few minutes from where I currently live. Its only a few minutes from the mall (yay!), a short drive to my job, and to pretty much all of my favorite places. It has a back yard for Jax, and all of the space I could ever need. I am so excited for Jax and I's new journey.

Now, about the outfit! I am in love with this tank! It caught my eye as soon as I saw it. So comfy and will be the perfect casual go to for the summer and the best part is that it was only $18. The new bag..... still swooning over it. I can't get enough it. I have had my eye on it for so long, so I am so glad to finally have my hands on it. And how cute are these shoes? My sweet daddy go them for me as a 'just because' gift, he always does such a great job. Most of my fellow fashionistas' would probably say that they get it from their momma, well, I get it from my daddy! He is seriously the cutest thing. He is always dressed to the nines and styling the latest styles. I guess that's what 20 years of retail will do to ya!

| Top: ROMWE | Jeans: Articles of Society | Wedges: Steve Madden | Handbag: Gucci | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Watch: Michele | Earrings: BaubleBar

Yesterday was an absolute dream, but kind of a tease. The weather was amazing, I can't wait for the warm weather to be here for good! I spent some time in Mooresville with my family this weekend and it was so chilly that I barely wanted to leave the house. I spent Saturday with my parents, we had lunch at on of our favorite local BBQ places, went to see 'The Shack' (so good, highly suggest seeing it), did a little shopping and then had dinner at another one of our favorite places! It was such a great day because, I rarely see my parents, and if I do usually one or both of them are working when I come home, so it was so nice to have the whole day to spend together.

In other news, I am FINALLY going to get Jax back from obedience school on Friday, and I literally can contain my excitement. Like literally, I've barely been able to sleep the past few nights. I'm hoping that he's excited to see me too and not angry that I left him somewhere for such a long time. But, for the sake of our relationship in the future (and the fact that he is going to be HUGE), I knew that this was essential.

Now, on to the outfit! First off, please ignore how badly I need a tan. After seeing myself in shorts today, I realized how badly I need to do some sun bathing. So, I got this top form ROMWE and it so cute. Such a great piece for the spring in summer. Not to mention, the prices are amazing!!! You definitely need to check out their website! I've already got a huge wish list that I am planning on ordering soon! Seriously though, you can't beat the prices.

Thank you for stopping by!!
